Ellen Mary Egan was registered at birth as Mary Ellen Eagan and was therefore difficult to find. Her parents were William Egan (1847 - ?) and Ellen Feeney (1857-?). Ellen was only 16 when she married William.

My paternal grandmother was Ellen Mary Egan (1873-1940), born in Molong. She married Henry Moxon in 1899 at Nymagee, a mining town on the backroad between Nyngan and Cobar.
