Feeney family
Ellen Feeney (1857-?) who married William Egan was the daughter of Patrick Feeney (c1828-1870) and Ellen Callaghan (dates unknown). Both Patrick and Ellen senior were born in Ireland.
Patrick Feeney was the oldest son of Thomas Feeney and Bridget Jennings. He had a number of siblings, including Mary, born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1831, Martin (born 1835 on Norfolk Island) and William and Sarah, born in Molong.
Thomas Feeney
Thomas Feeney was a member of the Kings Own Regiment, 4th Foot, and arrived in Hobart on board the ?? in 1832. Accompanying him were his wife Bridget Jennings and his two oldest children, Patrick and Mary.
